Tesla Cybertruck Unexpectedly Accelerates Home With Locked Rear Wheels

A New Experienced Tesla Cybertruck Owner an apparently new problem: an accelerator that does not respond. He went on Twitter to express concerns about the defect and lack of action from the automaker earlier this month. Now I must be clear, this fault has nothing to do with slippery pedal pad this would get stuck in the floor and jam the accelerator – in this situation the truck’s brake did not disengage the accelerator and the truck crashed into a house.

Twitter user @bfreshwa claims his stainless steel-clad machine accelerated unexpectedly after just 4 hours on the road in total. In surveillance footage, the clunky pickup truck rolled up a hill to a neighbor’s house with its rear wheels completely locked. The owner said the throttle and steering were unresponsive as he held the brake pedal to the floor, leaving behind two 50-foot-long skid marks. The owner claimed that a Tesla representative said in a phone call:

“We looked at the logs and due to the terrain the throttle may or may not disengage when the brake is pressed. Regarding the rear tire lock, we are currently reviewing it.

Tesla told the owner deal with your insurance company to cover the costs of the damage. It’s not clear what exactly went wrong with the Cybertruck this time, but it’s been a headache since its launch. The slippery gas pedal was most notable as it could not be fixed with an over-the-air update, requiring a sales stop and recall of each vehicle. Leftover soap from assembly was the cause of the problem.
