The heinous terrorist act committed in New Orleans early in the New Year underscores the Biden administration’s resounding failure to keep America safe and deter radical Islamic terrorism. By dropping attention to this ongoing threat to American national security, and wasting time and resources attacking political opponents, parents attending school board meetings, and Catholics, the Biden team has let the Vulnerable America. It will be up to the new Trump administration to clean up this mess and keep Americans safe.
By January 2017, when the Trump administration took office, the Islamic State (IS) controlled a large swath of Syria and was expanding its vision of radical Islamism globally. He beheaded two Americans during the Obama-Biden administration.
It took a serious president to dismantle this caliphate alongside his partners and allies, as well as bring down the threat of radical Islamic terrorism at home and abroad. By the end of our term, that is exactly what we had done: the ISIS caliphate no longer existed and the threat of radical Islamic terrorism in our country was significantly reduced.
6 TIMES ISIS INSPIRED TERRORIST ATTACKS ON US SOIL
Over the past four years, we have seen a complete abdication of this responsibility at the White House, resulting in a dangerous resurgence of this threat. Instead of combating radical Islamic terrorism at home and abroad, Biden downplayed that threat in favor of trumpeted political threats and allowed real threats to metastasize, culminating in the attack on New Orleans.
His administration allowed Afghanistan to fall to the Taliban, allowed Iran and its proxies to prosper and carry out the October 7 massacre, and failed to address the growing threat of Islamic terrorism radical here in his country. It empowered our enemies and weakened America.
Worse, this administration has allowed political ideology to undermine core U.S. national security imperatives. For four years, we’ve watched this administration call “far-right” groups and even supporters of President-elect Donald Trump the greatest threat to American democracy, while barely lifting a finger when protesters waved flags of Hamas and ISIS in the streets of the city and at the university. campus following the terrible attacks of October 7.
For four years, our wide-open borders have allowed extremists linked to groups like ISIS to freely enter our country, strengthening their ability to plan and carry out attacks and intensifying their radicalization efforts. By treating counterterrorism as another political weapon or tool to advance woke ideology, the Biden team has left a gap in our national security apparatus that actors like ISIS have eagerly exploited.
Following the attack on New Orleans, we unfortunately saw less seriousness. First, the FBI said the suspect did not act alone, only to then backtrack and say he did act alone. Let’s be clear: the idea that this individual acted alone is absurd on its face. Perhaps he carried out this specific attack alone – but these deplorable acts never happen in isolation.
The very idea of a “lone wolf” is a fiction. Whether or not accomplices assisted him on the night of the attack, or even in the planning of it, this terrorist was part of a cabal of Islamists radicalized to attack America, and he did not been arrested.

The FBI’s claim today that it acted alone demonstrates either the continued influence of a distorted political agenda or a complete misunderstanding of the depth and complexity of ISIS’s operations in the United States. . Every step must be taken to discern how and where this individual became radicalized so that the next attack can be anticipated or prevented.
Correcting these gaps in our national security is urgent and must be a priority for the new Trump administration. In response to the growing threat of terrorism, it is not the task of the American people to fundamentally change the way they live. It would be a victory for the Islamists.
For four years, our wide-open borders have allowed extremists linked to groups like ISIS to freely enter our country, strengthening their ability to plan and carry out attacks and intensifying their radicalization efforts.
Rather, it is a matter of responsible agencies – the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, as well as state and local law enforcement – recognizing the risk posed by radical Islamic terrorism and taking appropriate action to reduce and eliminate it.

Last May, the FBI tweeted that diversity was a top priority for the agency; the safety and security of every American should be its top priority. Fortunately, there couldn’t be a better leader entering the White House to fix the mess created by President Joe Biden. Having served as CIA Director and President Trump’s Secretary of State, I know he will take every step to eliminate this threat to the American people within our borders and around the world, just as we have made during his first term.
Most importantly, it will shift the focus of our law enforcement and national security apparatus away from domestic political opponents, DEI, and vigilantism, where it belongs: eliminating despicable individuals who wish to harm Innocent Americans.
