Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of the Georgian capital this weekend to protest a deeply controversial decision. a bill aimed at cracking down on “foreign agents” – seen by critics and rights groups as a threat to democracy in the Eastern European country.
Crowds marched in rainy Tbilisi on Saturday to demand that the bill not be passed – just days before it was approved by Georgia’s parliament in a vote on Friday.
