It’s almost time to try Armored King again as a DLC character in Tekken 8, and he brings with him a significant update.
Bandai Namco today released the full patch notes for Tekken 8’s version 2.06 update.
Tekken 8 is currently under maintenance on the server from 2:30 p.m. PST until approximately 9:00 p.m. PST, although the update should be available for players to download now.
During this time, all online content will remain unavailable, including online matchmaking, lobbies, in-game store and more.
For those who own the Tekken 8 Season 2 Pass, Armor King will be available in Early Access starting tonight, October 13, at 4 p.m. PT.
Players who want to collect Armor King on their own will have to wait until October 16 at 4 p.m. PT.
Changes have been made to Asuka, Anna, Azucena, Clive, Claudio, Devil Jin, Dragunov, Eddy, Fahkumram, Heihachi, Jack-8, Jin, Kazuya, King, Kuma, Panda, Lars, Law, Lee, Leo, Lidia, Lili, Raven, and Steve, although they all essentially amount to behavior adjustments.
Bandai Namco is adding new content to the Tekken Store, including Tekken Fight Pass Round 7, Nightmare Jester Pack, Whimsical Jester Pack, and an Armor King avatar skin pack.
They are also hosting a Tekken Special Deal event to offer discounts on some costume and avatar DLCs in the game.

The following changes will take effect in each mode and feature after the update:
DOWNLOADED REPLAYS / MY RELAYS & ADVICE
– Replay data created before the update will no longer be readable.
PLAY ONLINE
– All replay data created before the update will be deleted.
SUPER GHOST BATTLE / GHOST MATCH / Ghost vs. Ghost
– Behavior and performance adjustments applied to each character after the update will be reflected in ghost data.
– Ghost data will not be deleted.

PLAYABLE CHARACTERS
Fixes to character movement behavior
– In version 2.06, adjustments were made mainly to hitboxes and collision detection to address unintended behavior.
– Improvements have been made to sound effects, voiceovers and visual effects to improve the overall quality.
– Some moves whose command inputs were changed in version 2.00 can now also be executed using their old command inputs. This change only applies to King and Lee, as no moves were assigned to these older entries for them.
