Taylor Swift responds to Dave Grohl’s claim that she won’t perform live on her Eras tour

Taylor Swift has apparently hit back at Dave Grohl for suggesting that she and her band not perform live on his Eras tour.

The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, told his audience at his London concert on Saturday (June 22) that he called his band’s show “Errors Tour” because they had “a few more eras and more than some f**”. *ing error” because “we are actually playing live”.

Swift, 34, appeared to respond to Grohl’s onstage insinuations during his Wembley show on Sunday night (June 23) by thanking fans for attending his three-and-a-half hour performance.

Addressing the 90,000 people filling the stadium for her third London concert of the Eras tour, Swift said her band deserved “so much” recognition.

She told fans: “What you just did is an unforgettable moment not only in my life, but also in every member of our team. The band that’s going to play live for you for three and a half hours tonight.

“They deserve this so much, as do every single one of my fellow artists, and you gave it to us so generously. We will never forget it.

Swift’s fans slammed Grohl for his joke about the pop star and her band. “Oh Tayvoodoo is coming for him and he deserves it,” one person wrote on X/Twitter. “I can’t stand that a woman is more talented and more successful.”

Another fan added: “Wow, Grohl is so washed up he has to use Taylor’s name for free? It’s embarrassing to think it was better than that, what a shame.

Elsewhere, during the third night of the Eras tour, Swift’s NFL player boyfriend, Travis Kelce, made a surprise appearance on stage during the song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” from The Department of Tortured Poets album, posing as one of Swift’s backup dancers.

In a video shared to X (formerly Twitter), Kelce could be seen wearing a tuxedo and black top hat, before walking towards Swift, who was playing dead on stage.

While it’s usually one of the backup dancers who picks Swift up and carries her onstage during concerts, it was her boyfriend who took the reins this time. After setting Swift down on a red couch, he began participating in the performative act that introduced her next song, “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.”

While two backup dancers supported Swift’s arms and legs, Kelce had a white fan in his hand, which he used on himself and then on his girlfriend, to wake her up.

“That was NOT on my bingo card,” reacted one fan, while another said: “That’s a superstar duo I didn’t see coming!”
