Taylor Swift could take part in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade

Sports entertainment

Taylor Swift just might extend her Super Bowl era.

It’s possible the Grammy-winning singer could make it to the Chiefs victory parade on Wednesday before embarking on the Australian leg of her Eras tour.

Swift traveled from Japan to Los Angeles to attend her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s 2024 Super Bowl victory with the Chiefs in Las Vegas on Sunday.

She might continue the celebration by accompanying Kelce — and pal Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs QB Patrick — to the Kansas City parade this week.

Kansas City City Manager Brian Platt told KCUR he expects the chance to get a glimpse of the pop star will draw more people to the festivities, which could top 1 million attendees in the 2023 Victory Parade.

“It’s going to be a whole second level of safety issues that we’re going to have to deal with — crowds and all that kind of stuff,” Platt said. “So we are more than ready. We have no concerns about our safety protocols and what we are doing to ensure that the route will be free of any problems.

If she showed up – the Eras Tour resumes on Friday February 16 in Melbourne – Platt suggested she might need to bring extra security with her.

“I can’t confirm or deny, but we may have already told his team, just to keep everyone safe and make things a little easier for us,” he said.

Swift has become a major storyline for the 2024 Super Bowl, with her highly publicized relationship with superstar tight end Kelce.

The CBS broadcast aired 54 seconds of his reaction to the plays during the game, including Kelce’s second-half outburst of eight catches for 92 yards.

He was instrumental in the 25-22 overtime victory against the 49ers and the couple embraced and shared a kiss on the field to celebrate.
