Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s ‘matchmaker’ Erin Andrews reveals how the Chiefs star ‘blew her away’ at Eras Tour London show

Erin Andrews was wowed by Travis Kelce after sharing the VIP tent with the Kansas City Chiefs star at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in London.

On the latest episode of their podcast Calm Down, Andrews and co-host Charissa Thompson — who claims bragging rights as the couple’s matchmaker — opened up about what it was like behind the scenes at his girlfriend’s record-breaking tour, Kelce.

Andrews admitted his investment in getting the scoop on Swift’s dance routines and show details. Before the 14-time Grammy winner’s acoustic setlist, Andrews tried to turn Kelce into a source of information.

“I said, ‘Travis! Do you know what it is?”, recalls the FOX Sports journalist. “He was great, whether he had a poker face or not, he was like, ‘I think he’s an old timer and one of the new guys.’

“And it was lovely. He said, “And the bridge leads to this.” “I just looked at him and said, ‘The fact that you just said ‘Bridge’ blows my mind.’

Thompson chimed in on the conversation, explaining that it was the first time she saw Kelce in person as he watched Swift take the stage. She then revealed that she took photos of the tight side as she enjoyed the show.

“There’s a photo I took of just her on stage and he’s like sideways, and the way he looks at her when (she’s) performing – I said to him, ‘You must be so proud. ‘ He said to me, “You have no idea.”

Andrews also raved about the viral moment where Swift appeared to sing her 2019 hit “Lover” to Kelce while he stood in the crowd. The host shared his admiration for how much Kelce cherished being there for his girlfriend.

“We were all there watching it and it was awesome,” Andrews said. “For romantics like Charissa and I, for a guy that we root for on and off the field, and obviously we’re big fans of hers, it was really cool and it was kind of like a glimpse into a relationship that we all hoped for.

“But it was really, really special and he was just standing there and looking at her. »

Andrews and Thompson memorably appeared on their podcast and encouraged Swift to date their friend before their relationship took the world by storm late last year.

Having played a role in the genesis of their romance, Andrews slammed critics who called Swift and Kelce’s relationship a publicity stunt.

“We were there, we saw them,” Andrews said. “I don’t believe for a second that it was an act. I’m embarrassed by everyone who said it was a publicity stunt. I don’t want that to be the case. I will say this, I hope to God that they get married. I want this thing to last. It’s so cool to watch.

“To have a guy who is so successful – he walks into a room, he lights up a room – to see him support it the way he does is a great message for so many people.”

Andrews attended the first of three consecutive shows at Wembley Stadium this weekend and missed Kelce’s stage debut with Swift on Sunday.

However, the Calm Down hosts compared the moment to Swift drinking a beer on the jumbotron while Kelce was at the Super Bowl in February.

“It’s a perfect microcosm of who they are as a couple, where they don’t take themselves too seriously, have fun, but include each other in their big moments,” Thompson said. “It’s just lovely. I thought it was so awesome.
