Staten Island, NY – One of the largest retail chains in the country will close all the locations for a full day later this month while respecting the next spring vacation.
Target, which operates nearly 2,000 stores across the country, including three here in Staten Island, confirmed that all stores will be closed on Sunday April 20, to allow employees to spend Easter with their families, according to US Sun.
“Customers can expect regular hours from the store on April 19 and can consult Target.com or the Target application for local information in store,” Target’s spokesperson for US Sun told a statement sent by e-mail.
Regarding other major holidays, Target will again will be in Thanksgiving and Christmas, as he has done in recent years, but should remain open during other major holidays, such as Memorial Day, independence day, Labor Day and New Year.
Target is not the only big chain to close for Easter, with the Big-Box Costco retailer announcing earlier this month that he will also close all the locations for 24 hours on April 20.
According to the Costco website, Easter is one of the main holidays observed by the store, which is also closed on New Year’s day, the Memorial Day, independence day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Staten Island store will be open on Friday April 18 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., candies, baskets, flowers and a variety of grocery articles are sold for holidays in the store’s HOP store.
