A photographer who entered Israel with terrorists led by Hamas on October 7 was targeted on an air strike on an a tent near a hospital in the south of Gaza, said Monday, accusing the man of being a member of the terrorist group operating under journalistic coverage.
Hassan Eslaiah was injured in the strike outside the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, according to Alam24, the Palestinian news agency he directs. Another journalist, Palestine Today Helmy al-Faqawi journalist was killed in the strike, and at least five others were injured.
According to Israeli defense forces and the Shin Bet security service, ESLAIAH was a member of the Khan Younis brigade of Hamas and operated “under the cover of a journalist and owner of a press company”.
ESLAIAH, whose independent photography was distributed worldwide for the Associated Press, entered Israel during the massacre of October 7, 2023, photographing Gazans, some of which have stormed the Kibbutz Nir Oz, where a quarter of the population has been shot or kidnapped, including the old and children, like the age of nine months.
He also took a photo of Gazans at the top of a burning tank next to the destroyed Gaza border fence. A video of the scene published on social networks, but since the deletion has shown it alongside the reservoir, although no press repository can be seen on him.
“During the massacre, he documented and downloaded images of looting, criminal fire and murder on social networks,” the FDI said in a statement announcing the strike on Monday.

The AP and the CNN said in November 2023 that they had broken their relationship with Eslaiah after a pro-Israeli watchdog raised questions about their work with the photographer and other journalists who entered Israel during the massacre.
His photos of this day have been removed from the distribution flow of the Associated Press, although others remain.
The agency denied that Eslaiah and other Gazan journalists worked with who entered Israel during the attack had prior knowledge of the attack.

The report of the Honest Report Supervisory Group had also raised questions about Eslaiah’s relationship with Hamas, reproducing a photo deleted since itself in 2020 showing the leader of the terrorist group, Yahya Sinwar, kissing it and kissing it on the cheek.
According to Palestinian reports, the tent that was struck by Israel in the early morning strike was used by Gazan journalists as a makeshift press center.

Images have shown that people were trying to put out the flames in the tent after the strike.
Reuters was able to check the video of the position, arrangement and design of buildings and tents nearby. The date could be verified by media reports and corroborant videos.
A widely shared but not verified video seemed to show a journalist in flames while others were trying to save him.
The army said he had taken measures to alleviate civilians in the strike.

The Palestinian journalists Syndicate said that Faqawi was the 210th journalist killed by Israel since he began to attack Hamas in Gaza after the attack on October 7, in which the terrorists led by Hamas invaded southern Israel, killing some 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 more; 59 hostages remain in Gaza, more than half of which were killed.
Israel has repeatedly alleged that journalists killed in strikes were in fact terrorist agents who pretended to be journalists; He maintains that Hamas uses hospitals, schools, shelters and help infrastructure as a cover for terrorist activities.
The Palestinian authority condemned the death of Faqawi as an act of “extrajudicial murder” aimed at frightening journalists and stopping media coverage.
The health authorities controlled by Hamas in the strip said that at least 20 gasans had been killed in Israeli strikes since Sunday evening. The figure could not be confirmed.
In Deir Al-Balah, in the center of Gaza, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital reported that eight people had been killed in strike on Monday.

There was no Israeli comment on the attacks, which came after the FDIs warned civilians in the region to flee after the launch of 10 rockets from there in the south of Israel, in the largest dam of this type since the fighting resumed last month after a two-month ceasefire that saw 33 released hostages.
A 30 -year -old man was slightly injured by bursts of shells during the attack, which also caused material damage in the southern city of Ashkelon.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had ordered the FDI to extend his offensive renewal against Hamas following the attack.
The FDI has intensified its offensive in Gaza in recent days, saying that it increased pressure on Hamas to release hostages and yield power.
The Ministry of Health managed by Hamas of the Enclave, which does not make the difference between civilians and combatants in its unaccompanied personalities, said that more than 1,000 Palestinians had been killed since Israel resumed its offensive on March 18.
