Kolkata Knight Riders are one of two teams that remain undefeated in the Indian Premier League this season and they put that record on the line when they take on Delhi Capitals in this clash on Wednesday, which is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

The Capitals bounced back from two defeats with a comfortable 20-run win over Chennai Super Kings last time out and are looking to make it two wins in a row.

Capitals can follow one another

Delhi Capitals started their IPL season with two disappointing defeats but were impressive in their win against Chennai Super Kings at this ground last time out and are looking for a value selection to follow against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Delhi have won eight of the last 11 meetings between these two teams and have also recorded the highest opening partnerships in eight of the last 11 head-to-heads, indicating that the starts of both teams could be crucial here.

The Knight Riders have been in decent form with two wins from two, but will have been concerned by the wicketless efforts of their star bowler Mitchell Starc, who they signed for a record fee ever paid at an IPL auction this winter.

Rishabh Pant was back to his best for the Capitals in their last match and if he follows that 32-ball 51 with the bat, he could lead his team to another success.

Shaw looks in good shape

Prithvi Shaw played his first match since returning from a knee injury last time out against Chennai Super Kings and made an impressive 43 off 27 balls.

The opener could follow it up with another solid score and is considered to be the top scorer for Delhi Capitals.

Shaw has also excelled throughout his IPL career against KKR, averaging 45 at a rate of 10.08 runs per over against Kolkata in nine matches, which includes five half-centuries in that total.

Narine will reopen

Sunil Narine has opened for Kolkata Knight Riders in both their matches this season and could play the same role in this clash.

The all-rounder scored 47 runs in his last match, hitting five sixes in his 22 innings of the ball, and although he only recorded 2 in his previous knock, he was unlucky to to be exhausted.

A 13.5 point line seems too low for a player and can be extremely dangerous in the right conditions, so take Narine to get past it.
