talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Wednesday 3 April

There’s plenty of midweek football to look forward to on Wednesday, but the spotlight will be on all three Premier League games with two of the title challengers in action.

Two teams from opposite ends of the table meet at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal take on Luton Town, while Brentford will be desperate to secure a win against Brighton to ease their relegation woes.

Wednesday’s late match is the pick of the group as Manchester City welcome top-four hopefuls Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium.

With so much to play for at both ends of the table, this has the potential to be a pivotal night in the title race and fight against relegation.

The bet of the day

Arsenal – Over 3.5 goals against Luton – 11/10

Arsenal should collect all three points on Wednesday against strugglers Luton. The Gunners have lost just one of their last 11 games in all competitions, while Luton are now winless in 10 and in the relegation zone, albeit on goal difference.

Mikel Arteta’s side were involved in a 0-0 draw against title rivals Manchester City on Sunday, but they should have no problem finding the net against the Hatters. Arsenal have scored 14 goals in their last four league matches at the Emirates, while Luton have conceded 15 in their last five away games.

Rob Edwards’ side are also dealing with plenty of injury problems, particularly at the back, so expect Arsenal to put on a finishing clinic.

Special of the day

Brentford v Brighton – Draw and BTTS @ 17/5

Brentford were unlucky not to pick up all three points against Manchester United last weekend, and although they needed a 99th minute equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw, there There’s still a chance they’ll come out this week.

Thomas Frank’s side have not won any of their last seven games and keeping clean sheets has been their Achilles heel all season.

The Bees have recorded just four shutouts throughout the campaign, and they would do well to prevent Brighton from scoring.

Brighton have been inconsistent all year, but they have what it takes to produce a big performance when it counts and could easily take the game to their hosts.

However, they have kept just four clean sheets all season, and with both teams fighting for victory, there is every chance that they will both find the back of the net in an entertaining draw.

BetBuilder – Man City v Aston Villa – Over 2.5 cards, Manchester City will win 1-0/2-0, Rodri will have over 2 shots

Third plays fourth in this Premier League battle, but it’s hard to see Aston Villa getting a result, even if they beat the champions in the reverse fixture.

Unai Emery has confirmed that striker Ollie Watkins will be absent and Villa will do well to score without their talisman, who has scored 16 league goals this season.

City may have crucial injuries to key defenders, but Watkins has Villa buzzing, and it’s hard to see them keeping the ball or offering much on the counterattack.

Villa have also collected the third most yellow cards this season with 79, and they will sometimes have no choice but to commit cynical fouls in an attempt to slow down City’s continued attacks.

One man who could be at the center of these attacks is midfielder Rodri. The Spaniard has scored four goals in his previous eight matches against the Villans, while he averages 1.9 shots per game this season.

City may need to think outside the box at times to break down Villa, so expect Rodri to try his luck on more than one occasion.
