The bet of the day

Blackpool to beat Barnsley – 19/20

Blackpool remain in the League One play-off race heading into the penultimate matchday and they can secure a crucial victory at home against Barnsley, who are five points ahead of them in the table.

The Tangerines have racked up three straight 1-0 wins before the Tykes visit and are on a five-match unbeaten run at Bloomfield Road, winning three times and keeping four clean sheets.

Barnsley are limping towards the play-offs, winning just one of their last seven matches, and they could slip to a fourth away defeat, potentially jeopardizing their place in the top six.

Special of the day

Luton v Brentford – Bet Builder: Luton wins, BTTS and over 2.5 Brentford cards – 21/2

Luton’s win against Brentford on Saturday would move the Hatters out of the Premier League relegation zone and it’s an opportunity they can grab with both hands at Kenilworth Road, where they have picked up four points from the last two outings.

Brentford have won just one of their last 11 away league matches and have kept just three clean sheets in 16 attempts on the road, while their away tally of 11 points is the most fifth worst in the Premier League.

Goals could also be plentiful in Bedfordshire. Luton have scored in 17 of their 19 home matches in all competitions, while Brentford have failed to find the net in just one of their last eight away trips in the top flight.

Thomas Frank’s troops have lacked discipline, collecting 81 yellow cards, an average of just under 2.5 per game, and they could receive at least three bookings in what should be an open competition.

Clermont beats Lens – 15/2

The bottom Clermontois are still fighting to stay in Ligue 1 and could create a surprise by going to Lens, who have only collected one point from the last 12 on offer.

Despite supporting the French elite, the Lancers have won consecutive draws before this competition, including one against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

Lens have won just one of their last five home matches, giving the chasing pack a chance to catch up with them in the quest for a European final, and they could be in for a shock when Clermont visits .
