talkSPORT Betting Tips – Best boxing bets and expert advice for Vasiliy Lomachenko vs George Kambosos
Vasiliy Lomachenko and George Kambosos face off for the vacant IBF lightweight title in what should be an exciting contest.
Lomachenko will travel to Australia to face Kambosos, who will have the Perth crowd on his side, but the Ukrainian is the big favorite.
Loma has a 1/8 chance of regaining the title he lost to Teofimo Lopez in 2020, while Kambosos has a 9/2 chance of causing a major upset.
Advice:
- Vasiliy Lomachenko wins by unanimous decision @ 5/4

Lomachenko ready to win more world titles
Lomachenko is one of modern boxing’s great fighters and the 36-year-old has held world titles in three weight classes, from featherweight to lightweight.
The Ukrainian is the former unified and lineal lightweight champion and Loma is aiming to win a world title for the first time since the 36-year-old was defeated by Lopez in 2020.
Boxer Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi was one of the most successful amateur fighters of all time and Lomachenko fought for the vacant WBO featherweight title in only his second professional competition.
Fast forward to Sunday’s clash with Kambosos and the Ukrainian returns to the ring after losing to undisputed 135-pound king Devin Haney last year.
It was an extremely competitive contest that Haney won on points and, although the judging of the fight did not reflect how close the Las Vegas clash was, Loma could have easily won the decision.
Lomachenko had already destroyed Masayoshi Nakatani, Richard Commey and Jamaine Ortiz and those wins plus the performance against Haney suggest the 36-year-old still has plenty to offer.
Kambosos has the shock victory over Lopez on his card, but the Australian has since been comfortably outpointed by Haney twice and there is no indication the Sydney fighter has the skills to mix it up with Lomachenko.
Ferocious is certainly a committed and dedicated boxer, but the Australian doesn’t have much punching power and, if the Perth fight turns into a battle of technical ability, Loma is in a class of his own.
talkSPORT BET offers an exact method to market for victory and, at 5/4, backing Lomachenko to win by unanimous decision seems like a gamble.
