Take a Trip To Flavortown With Guy Fieri’s New Sauces

We interviewed Guy Fieri because we think you’ll like his picks at these prices. Guy is a paid spokesperson for Flavortown Sauces. As the self-proclaimed mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri knows a thing or two about incorporating tons of flavor into even the simplest recipes. Now you can do the same thing at home. The Emmy Award-winning restaurateur teamed up with condiment company Litehouse to create nine mouth-watering sauces that will taste great on whatever you slather them on.

“I’m known by my family as the king of condiments,” Fieri enthuses, so much so that he even has a second refrigerator to house his vast assortment of sauces. But his creations with Litehouse are more than just condiments; they also offer major flavor.

“What is mayonnaise in a sandwich? Mayonnaise usually just adds moisture. Mayonnaise doesn’t really have any flavor.” I can’t argue with you, Guy. “But I want +++ mayonnaise,” Fieri says, and that’s the origin of his famous Donkey sauce. “I said, let’s make a sauce that really fortifies, that really has a reason to be on the burger, on the sandwich, in the dipping sauce,” Fieri says. From there, the ideas for the rest of his sauce line just kept coming.

The possibilities with these sauces are also endless. They can be used as a marinade, dip or to add extra flavor to a hamburger bun. An unusual suspect for sauces? “I’m a big fan of vegetables. And vegetables are really a great platform to work on,” Fieri says. Yes, just cut your vegetables, season them lightly with olive oil, salt and pepper, roast them at 425 degrees on a cookie rack (this is Fieri’s secret to making every inch square of your crispy vegetables) and mix them in the sauce of your choice. What’s this about finding a way to finally enjoy your vegetables?

“The idea is not to mask the natural flavors of what we cook but to accentuate them.” But we guarantee you’ll want to smother whatever you’ve made in these sauces, they’re so delicious.

You can find Flavortown sauces at Walmart, just in time to kick off grilling season.
