T20 World Cup: Chris Gaffaney, Rodney Tucker to be the two on-field umpires for India-South Africa semi-final

New Zealand’s Chris Gaffaney and Australia’s Rodney Tucker will be the on-field officials for the second T20 World Cup semi-final between India and England in Providence, Guyana on Thursday.

Defending champions England booked their place in the semi-finals with a 10-wicket win over co-hosts USA, while India put the finishing touches on a perfect Super 8s stage with a 24-point victory over Australia.

Joel Wilson will be the TV referee for a replay of the 2022 semi-final, which saw England win, with Paul Reiffel in place as fourth official.

England’s Richard Illingworth and India’s Nitin Menon will be on-field umpires when Afghanistan make history by playing their first T20 World Cup semi-final against South Africa in Tarouba, Trinidad, on Thursday -Tobago.

Afghanistan qualified for the quarter-finals with an eight-point win over Bangladesh, via DLS, at the expense of Australia.

South Africa are looking to secure their first appearance in the T20 World Cup final.

Richie Richardson of the West Indies will be the match referee for the first semi-final.
