We’re just over two weeks away from Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX halftime show. He has now announced that SZA will be joining him as a special guest during the performance. Watch the fun trailer for the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX halftime show below.
Super Bowl LIX will take place on Sunday, February 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Lamar’s company with Dave Free, pgLang, is handling the creative direction of the halftime show. Diversified Production Services produces the halftime television show with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers, Hamish Hamilton as director and Roc Nation also serving as “a strategic entertainment advisor to the live show.”
Kendrick Lamar and SZA are longtime collaborators who worked on the same label, Top Dawg Entertainment. They reunited on Lamar’s surprise album GNXand Lamar was also recently featured on SZA’s new album, SOS Deluxe: Lana. Starting in April, Lamar and SZA will go on the Grand National Tour together.
