The Bruins are once again facing elimination, but their goaltender will be fueled for Friday’s Game 6 thanks perhaps to his favorite local restaurant.

Jeremy Swayman stopped by Tresca in the North End Thursday night to pick up his signature dinner, a spread he eats every night before he starts playing at home for Boston: chicken parmesan.

Tresca’s version of chicken parm is no ordinary dish. This is the restaurant “The #1” which bears the name Swayman. The meal is dubbed by Tresca as the “goalkeeper’s favorite the day before the game.”

Executive chef Richard Ansara shared a photo on Facebook of Swayman holding his takeout bag presumably containing Tresca’s “Swayman Special,” the restaurant’s famous chicken parm with angel hair pasta in a tomato and vodka sauce.

This particular broadcast is named after Swayman following his move to Boston. Swayman became a regular at Tresca the day before it debuted at TD Garden and regularly ordered their chicken parm.

Ansara and Co. decided to put the meal on Tresca’s special menu and change its name in honor of the goalkeeper.

“(Swayman) came for a walk one day and we started a conversation and became great friends,” Ansara said in a video shared on Tresca’s X account last year. “The day before he enters the Bruins goal at TD Garden, he always comes to get his chicken with angel hair and vodka sauce. So I said, ‘You know what? It’s such a good dish, I’m going to put it on the menu, I’m going to name it after you.

“We call it The Number 1, and it’s become so popular that it’s on my special menu. It stays there and is one of the most popular dishes on our menu.

Swayman loves Tresca and its signature meal so much that he put the restaurant’s name on his goalie mask.

Swayman played smoothly for the Bruins in the playoffs. Boston beat Linus Ullmark in 11 of the teams’ 12 playoff games. Swayman has a .933 save percentage and a 2.16 goals-against average over that span.

With a little help from his dinner of choice, Swayman may be able to put together another game-winning performance to help keep the Bruins’ Stanley Cup hopes alive on Friday.
