It has been three days since Swati Maliwal accused the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, the assistant close to Bibhav Kumar of having assaulted him. Although the Aam Aadmi party has admitted an assault against Maliwal, there has not yet been an official word of Kejriwal.

In the middle of this, a new video has surfaced online that sparked controversy. The video, widely shared by the leaders of the BJP and others on X, shows Kejriwal with Bibhav Kumar at Lucknow. The head of the AAP, Sanjay Singh, can also be seen in the video.

What was Kumar doing with Kejriwal?

The video is on Wednesday evening when Delhi’s CM arrived at Lucknow’s airport to organize rallies in the Uttar Pradesh for the elections during Lok Sabha.

Kumar would accompany Kejriwal during his trip.

Akhilesh Yadav of the Kejriwal party and Samajwadi held a joint press conference in Lucknow Thursday for the Indian block.

Asked about Swati Maliwal, Kejriwal escaped the question and in place, Sanjay Singh replied by saying that the Safran party should first talk about the cases of the Manipur chief, JD (s) Prajwal Revanna and the female.

BJP Slame Les Doubles Standards’

The BJP, which demanded Kejriwal’s resignation for keeping mom in the assault case of the deputy of Rajya Sabha, Maliwal, struck the Aam Aadmi party for not having done step in the case.

BJP chief Tajinder Bagga said: “Sanjay Singh Ji said that you will take strict measures against Bibhav, but you started to show him around the country.”

The case so far

The AAM AADMI Party (AAP) admitted Tuesday that the former personal assistant of Delhi, the chief minister of Delhi, “missed” of Swati Maliwal, a deputy of Rajya Sabha and the former head of the Delhi commission For women (DCW).

During a press conference, AAP chief Sanjay Singh said: “Yesterday, a condemnable incident took place. Swati Maliwal had gone to Arvind Kejriwal’s residence to meet him. Delhi police said on Monday that they had received a Maliwal PCR call, alleging that they had been attacked by Kumar at the residence of the chief minister in civil lines.

Meanwhile, Maliwal’s ex-husband Naveen Jaihind said there was a threat to his life.

Who is Bibhav Kumar?

This is not the first time that Bibhav Kumar has made the headlines. Earlier this year, Kumar was dismissed from the post of Kejriwal private secretary after the vigilance management called his “illegal” appointment.

Kumar was also questioned by the Directorate of the Application of Laws in April on the Delhi’s Annoyance Policy which saw Kejriwal imprisoned in Tihar for 50 days before being released on bail last week.
