SVU’s Benson will finally confess his feelings for Stabler

It’s a confession like no other.

According Law and Order: SVUthe executive producer of Julie MartinOlivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) will be ultimately acknowledge her lingering romantic feelings for Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) in an upcoming episode of the series. But, after 24 seasons, don’t expect the two to reunite this easily.

“She will talk to Rollins about her feelings for Stabler in episode 9, December 8,” Martin teased in a November 21 Tweet. “#ATraumaInAPearTree.”

Coincidentally, the holiday episode “Trauma in a Pear Tree” will also be Detective Amanda Rollins’ final episode (Kelly Giddish), who hangs up his badge after 12 seasons on the show. But, unlike Benson and Stabler, Rollins has been able to express his feelings for a colleague: In a teaser for his latest episode, we see Rollins donning a wedding dress, presumably for his vows to Dominick “Sonny” Carisi Jr. (Peter Scanavino).
