Joshua Brocato, 34, was wanted by the Sheriff’s office of the parish of Tangipahoa, suspected of having fatally pulled his elderly parents, Priscilla and Marc Brocato, in their city of friendly in south-eastern Louisiana.

Brocato was apprehended in Los Angeles one day after the Louisiana’s sheriff’s office announced that they were looking for him following a wellness check at his parents’ home. The authorities say they have found the bodies of her 66 -year -old mother inside the house and her 75 -year -old father on the property. Louisiana officials issued an arrest warrant against two first degree murder leaders.

In a press release, the Sheriff’s Department of the County of Los Angeles said that the deputies had arrested Brocato after having stopped traffic, after noting a White Ford E-150 van parked on the 5,400 block on Avenue Fairfax in Los Angeles. The car “corresponded to the description of a sought after homicide vehicle from Louisiana,” said the ministry.

“During the deputies’ investigation, they discovered that the Brocato suspect was in possession of a body armor and several loaded firearms, including an assault rifle,” said the ministry.

Brocato probably fled in California within three days of the murders, the ministry said. Louisiana officials believe that Brocato’s parents died on March 31 or April 1. The sheriff’s office of the parish of Tangipahoa confirmed the arrest of Brocato in Los Angeles in a press release updated on Facebook.

“The reason for the crime is still unknown,” said the press release from the Sheriff department of the County of Los Angeles. Although it is not clear why Brocato fled to California, the department said that the Sheriff’s Office of the Tangipahoa parish had “alerted several law enforcement organizations in southern California”.

Brocato was also sentenced to suspicion of multiple infractions to firearms, including the possession of a busy firearm and the possession of an assault weapon, said the Sheriff department. Brocato was sentenced to Marina Del Rey station without surety and has a hearing date on Tuesday, the ministry said.
