Long Beach police arrested as part of a disturbing incident of dog abuse that has been captured on video.
The video, published on Instagram, was recorded on Monday and shows that a man raises a dog on the ground by a leash before slamming the animal on the ground and kicking it. In the 200 block of the 12th rue East.
“The man in this video severely abuses this poor poor merciless and must be found as soon as possible,” wrote the animal group Hope and Wellness in legend. “All we can say is that the man has a roller board, and therefore the other skaters in the region can be able to identify who is.”
In a social media position on Wednesday evening, the Police of Long Beach announced that they had arrested a man in connection with the incident, but did not provide details about it. Officials said the dog was under the care of long Beach animal protection services.
“This type of cruelty has no place in our community,” said police chief Wally Hebeish in the post. “I would like to thank our detectives and our officers for their exceptional work to identify and quickly apprehend the suspect.”
