Supreme Court Upholds Second Amendment

The Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling Thursday on gun rights comes down to this: The Second Amendment doesn’t disappear when you walk through your front door. New York State Rifles and Pistols Association vs. Bruen challenged Empire State regulations on carrying a gun in public. Open carry in New York is prohibited. This has been interpreted to mean “a special need” for self-defense, beyond that of “the community at large or people in the same profession”.
