Sunny Hostin’s Son Gabriel Reacts to Sherri Shepherd Having a Crush on Him (Exclusive)

Sunny Hostin’s his son, Gabriel Hostin, responds to some recent affectionate comments Sherri Berger made about him during an episode of his daytime talk show.

Recently, Sunny and Gabriel sat down to interview each other on a new episode of ET’s series “Spilling the E-Tea,” and she asked her 21-year-old son what she did that made him the most embarrassed.

“It’s hard to choose one,” Gabriel joked. “But probably the photo you decided to (show) for the Sherri Shepherd Show.“

The incident happened earlier this month when Sunny — a co-host on View — joins Sherri, an old See co-hostduring an episode of his eponymous talk show. Sunny shared a few family photos and one of them was of Gabriel in a swimsuit by a swimming pool.

Sherri made some flirtatious comments about the photo, expressing that she might have a crush on Gabriel.

She later doubled down when the checkers View mocked her thirsty remarks. Sherri joked, “Someone gets Gabriel’s phone number and tells Gabriel that Aunt Sherri is on the phone, and Aunt Sherri needs someone to come move some stuff into her house.”

According to Gabriel – who is studying psychology at Harvard with a concentration in wellness and business – he had heard about Sherri’s glowing comments when someone texted him about it, and he later watched the segment to see what was happening.

“I was really surprised,” Gabriel said. “I thought it was super funny. She’s a comedian, of course.”

“You told me something about liking mature women,” Sunny joked. “You texted me that.”

Gabriel said Sherri’s remarks seemed very “complimentary” and that he “was both flattered and flabbergasted.”

As with the Sherri clip, Gabriel admitted that he mostly sees his mother on View in online clips, or in passing when the show is on TV and he walks by.

“Unless, you know, I appeared or was talked about. Which happens very often for some reason,” Gabriel said with a laugh. “I might watch it then.”

“I talk about you on the show,” Sunny admitted. “I love you.”
