Noelvi Marte (Cin): 5-7, 2 2b, HR, 3 R, 7 RBI.
Noelvi Marte, have a day! In fact, Cincinnati Reds, have a day! The Reds beat the Orioles of Baltimore 24-2, marking the most points in a match since 1999, Marte being one of the two Bash brothers of the Reds who did most of the damage (see below for his partner in crime). Marte went 5 for 7 with a home run, seven products produced and three points. Marte as in 1999, Ammite? I could do this all day.
Many will wonder if Marte is worth a pick-up of derogation wire. Some will indicate his pedigree of perspective and his hot start to his career in the League at the end of 2023, reducing a cool .316 / .366 / .456 in 35 games to finish the season, including three circuits, seven doubles, 15 points produced and six interceptions. But as soon as his fantastic stock skyroche, everything crashed on Earth.
Marte was suspended 80 games in March 2024 for a violation of PED, and on his return, he was a shell of his self of 2023, hitting only .210 / .248 / .301 on 66 games. Things have become so bad that the old best hope started the 2025 season with minors, partly because of performance, but partly because Marte is blocked on a major Reds League list. It took a few injuries to beginners, first at Matt Mclain, and now to Christian Encarnacion-Strand, so that Marte was called, even if her triple-A figures were solid to start the season, although without a circuit.
So, is it the performance in small groups from a first perspective that the fantastic community was waiting for? Unfortunately, no. Marte will probably be an everyday MLB player in the future. But let’s take advantage of Sunday’s game for what it was: a version of a birthday festival (Marte anniversary?) – A fun performance and a day when a bench struggle in the eight points struck a big slam on a position player (Jorge Mateo) in the eighth round, and a RBI doubles another (Gary Sánchez) in the North. The last two rounds were essentially the practice of the shot for the Reds.
Marte entered the day with an average of the stick of 0.083 after having gone 0 for 5 in his last match, and he withdrew the twice when he did not reach the base on Sunday. Do not make the deception by thinking that Marte will be a fantastic asset for our lists because of her name, his pedigree and the Sunday statistics line. Do not jump on the Marte bus – it will not be a fun walk.
Let’s see how the other strikers did Sunday:
Austin Wynns (Cin): 6-7, HR, 2 R, 6 RBI.
All that is done is Wynn. Well, at least yesterday. There was another birthday party in Camden Yards on Sunday, with the receiver of nine holes, Austin Wynns, collecting six strokes and six products produced, including an HR three points from Gary Sánchez in ninth round. Take advantage of the day, Austin!
Javier Sanoja (Mia): 3-4, HR, 2 R, 5 RBI.
Another day, another great performance by a Miami Marlins player whom you have probably never heard of. Two points in the eighth round, the recruit service Javier Sanoja struck a huge three -point HR, his first in his career, to put the Marlins on the Phillies. Later in the match, up a round in the 10th round, Sanoja struck a simple RBI to mark an insurance race for Miami. Nothing to do here for a fantastic value, but another line of funny statistics of a wild Sunday in the Bigs.
Rhys Hoskins (Mil): 3-5, HR, 2 R, 4 RBI, SB.
We started today’s hitting box with seven produced points, then six, then five, and now we arrive at a match of four RBIs, fortunately of a player who has a fantastic value! Rhys Hoskins struck his third circuit in five games and had a week of marble monsters for the Brewers. It is over time that Hoskins is a 1B leaving for your fantastic teams, but he is a better player indicated by his line of Slash 2024 (.214 / .303 / .419). Its 2025 22.7 k% and 12.1 BB% are already significantly better than its 28.8 k% and 10.3 BB% in 2024. Hoskins is a decent CI option in 12 teams this year, especially for those of the OP leagues if its walking rate remains in place.
Zach Neto (Laa): 1-3, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI.
Check your sons of derogation, people! Zach Neto came back from the IL this weekend and hit his first bomb in his third return match. This former first round choice, which struck 23 circuits and stole 30 bases in 2024, could still be in derogation in your leagues, and if it is, rectify this situation right away. Neto is only 24 years old and his power / speed profile at 25/25 upwards for the rest of the season, even by hitting seventh (for the moment) on the modest.
Fernando Tatis Jr. (SDP): 2-4, 3B, HR, 3 R, RBI, BB.
Is he the future MVP NL and Fantasy this year? After April 19, it certainly looks like that. He had a start to the season, and the owners of Fantasy harvest the advantages, especially all those who picked him up in the second round during the draft season. Discover his deep red statcast page and its magnificent trial to the sky + graphic below:

Byron Byron (Min): 2-5, 2b, HR, R, RBI.
Byron Buxton is 31 years old and will never be the fantastic MVP that everyone thought he would be, but that does not mean that he cannot be a solid fantastic asset in your outside field. Buxton had a strong week, hitting his fourth Home Run of the season and his second since he took charge of the two -point range in the programming of the Twins. It is always fast (sprint speed of the 100th centile) and carries a little pop (hard success rate of the 93rd centile and a bat speed 91st centile). Do not expect all-star level production, but Buxton can produce for your team in 2025 as long as it remains healthy.
Kyle Manzardo (KEY): 2-4, HR, R, 3 RBI.
Manzardo has cooled earlier this week, making a nice race of 2 for 18, before hitting a Home Run on Saturday and Sunday. Its list rate dropped by 13% on Yahoo during its cold sequence at only 24% possessed, and it is a big error. Like any recruit, Manzardo’s results will be hot and cold, but if you look under the hood using our Metric Process +, you see a player who puts all this together. The results will follow. Buy and hold.
Cody Bellinger (Nyy): 1-4, HR, R, 2 RBI, SB.
It was a disastrous start in the fine stripes for the old NL MVP, but I hope that the sock and the Sunday shoe are the start of a turnaround for which the fans of the Yankees and the owners of fantasies are rooted. The XBA .192 of Cody Bellinger is in the lowest 10% of the league, and its 26.4 k% are its worst since its forgetable seasons in 2021 and 2022. It however strikes the ball stronger than ever before, with a hard rate of 46.8%. The season is still young, my friends.
Cal raleigh (SEA): 1-5, HR, R, 2 RBI.
Like many players of fantasy, I was too afraid of Cal Raleigh’s AVG to take a shot on its power during the draft season. Me, like many fantastic players who do not have Cal Raleigh in 2025, I made a bad decision during the draft season and I feel stupid on this subject. Raleigh continues to explode circuits and run away with the title of recipient n ° 1 so far in 2025.
