Sultanpur Lok Sabha Election: Can Maneka Gandhi retain this BJP bastion

The Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat is one of the most prominent seats that will be voted on in the sixth phase of the Indian general elections on Saturday, May 25. Situated along the Gomti River in Uttar Pradesh, the seat comprises five assembly segments: Isauli, Sultanpur Sadar. , Kadipur (reserved) and Lambhua. For the 2024 elections, the BJP has again fielded Maneka Gandhi, while the Samajwadi Party, part of the INDIA bloc, has nominated Ram Bhual Nishad. The BSP has given Uday Raj Verma the ticket to contest the elections from the Sultanpur seat.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Maneka Gandhi emerged victorious in Sultanpur. She got 4,59,196 votes. BSP’s Chandra Bhadra Singh finished second, with 4,44,670 votes.
