For Rafferty, the question specifically was where “Darvey” — the portmanteau of his character, Donna, and Macht’s character, Harvey — would be five years after the series ended.

“That’s a very good question for (Suits creator) Aaron Korsh,” Rafferty said with a laugh. “Where would Darvey be right now? They would be happy. »

The original show — which also featured Gina TorresRick Hoffman, Katherine Heigl And Meghan Markle – ended in September 2019 after eight years of broadcast on USA Network. He followed a group of lawyers, paralegals and other players in the field on a daily basis in a firm based in New York.

After finishing the series a year before the coronavirus pandemic began, the show sparked renewed interest during confinement and gradually developed a resurgence in popularity and was the most streamed show of 2023.

“My daughter watched the show, and so did her friends, because she’s in college,” Hill explained. “So she was in college when this whole resurgence was happening.”

“She hasn’t watched everything, her schedule is busier than anyone else in the family,” Hill added. “(But) luckily she already thinks I’m a cool dad, and this just adds to it.”

In light of this new interest and growing fan base, Rafferty and Adams have teamed up for Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast, where they will watch episodes and reflect on the experience of making the series.

Sharing a message to fans, Adams said: “I just want to thank you again.”

“We’re watching it for this podcast, and I have a new appreciation, not only for the fan base but for the work itself on the show, and how breathtaking everyone is,” praised Adams. “The more we hear from the fans, the more we talk to them, we’re really excited to have them be a part of our podcast, interact with them, get their voices and answer their questions. So I just hope they reach out to us and continue to get involved with the show and watch it.”

For everyone involved, it seems like being a part of the beloved series has been a unique and special experience.

“There’s something so magical about the sense of belonging you feel,” Rafferty recalls. “We all did a million pilots. And there were all these guests on other people’s shows, and I always dreamed of having a place that felt like home. And then I almost couldn’t to believe it when Suits arrived.”

Echoing that sentiment, Adams explained how being part of such a tight-knit cast is “kind of indescribable, to be honest.”

“It’s a level of intimacy and friendship and family that I’ve never experienced outside of my own family,” Adams said. “You can finish each other’s sentences. You can say that you know each other, you know how to push each other, you know how to make each other laugh, and you know how to comfort each other.”

And what makes the experience even better, following the series’ resurgence, is knowing that it’s something of a comfort watch for a lot of people.

“We have this great opportunity as actors to touch the lives of people we may never meet,” Schull explained. “And what a gift (it is) to have been on a show that… could help people at a time when some people were struggling, over the last couple of years. And to bring a little bit of levity into the someone’s living room. It’s a real honor.”
