British heavyweight champion and Ipswich fan Fabio Wardley was spotted outside during Saturday’s derby against Norwich City.

The 29-year-old Suffolk sensation, who is sponsored by his beloved Blues and wears the club’s colors and badge in the ring, has seen Ipswich suffer a major blow in their bid for automatic promotion to the Premier League with a 1-0 defeat.

This came days after Wardley drew with Frazer Clarke to retain the British and Commonwealth heavyweight championship.

After 12 breathtaking rounds on one card Wardley won 114-113, on another Clarke had 115-112 and on the third they were level at 113-113.

Clarke had to recover from a knockdown in the fifth round and had a point taken away for a low blow, moments that proved decisive.

Wardley’s dream is to one day fight at Portman Road.

He told the Ipswich Star: “Portman Road is definitely a possibility and an option.

“Obviously I want to make sure I do it right, with a big name, a big fight, a big occasion and make sure everything comes together perfectly.

“Fingers crossed after this we’ll start looking around and see what the options are. If it makes sense we’ll go from there.
