⚡Quick Betting Tips Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich

VfB Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich predictions

For a long time, Bayern Munich have been touted as the type of well-run club that other members of Europe’s elite should aspire to emulate. But in recent years, the powers that be at the Allianz Arena have not covered themselves in glory.

Since Pep Guardiola’s three-year tenure ended in 2016, Bayern have gone through six different managers: Carlo Ancelotti, Jupp Heynckes, Niko Kovac, Hansi Flick, Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel.

A seventh seems to be on the way – right?

In February, Bayern announced that Tuchel would leave at the end of the campaign. The Bavarians then had a mountain to climb in the Bundesliga title race (which is now over with Bayer Leverkusen winning the title).

Performances and results have been poor by the club’s high standards and it was no surprise to see them announce a change ahead of next season.

Bayern were once known for being proactive rather than reactive off the field. They would make deals, for both players and managers, with very little fanfare.

However, their succession plan this time has been chaotic, to say the least. Bayern have now been rejected by three different coaches.

Firstly, Xabi Alonso has committed his immediate future to Leverkusen. Nagelsmann then turned down the chance to return to Munich and instead signed a new deal with the German national team. This week, Ralf Rangnick ended what Bayern considered a done deal.

All of this means Tuchel could end up staying after all. A lot will depend on the Champions League. Bayern drew 2-2 with Real Madrid in the first leg of their semi-final and will travel to the Spanish capital for the second leg on Wednesday.

Before that, a tricky trip to Stuttgart awaits him. Whatever the result, discussions will soon return to the two big topics of the day: the Champions League and Bayern’s disorderly search for a new coach.

Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich predictions

The spirit of Bayern Munich will be elsewhere and Stuttgart could benefit from it this weekend.

Stuttgart first half winner – 8/5 (bet365)

Five points ahead of Stuttgart, Bayern Munich are likely to finish second in the Bundesliga regardless of the outcome of this weekend’s battle in Baden-Württemberg.

Either way, their fans would probably settle for third place if it came with a Champions League triumph.

Tuchel didn’t make any big changes against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend, a match that took place a few days before the first leg against Real Madrid.

But with the Champions League tie so delicately balanced, it would be a surprise if the Bayern boss named his strongest XI here.

Stuttgart are good enough to take the lead if the Bavarians are not fully focused on the task at hand, as you would expect.

Cheered on by the home fans at the MHPArena, Sebastian Hoeness’ side will look to get off to a flying start on Saturday.

Also note that Stuttgart have the best first-half home record among the 18 Bundesliga teams, having led at the break 11 out of 15 times.

Both teams score in the second half – 13/10 (BoyleSports)

Even though Bayern Munich have underperformed domestically this season, their overall offensive record is excellent.

Tuchel’s side have scored 89 goals, 12 more than second best Bayer Leverkusen. Fifty-two of those strikes came on the outside, another division high.

Indeed, even if Bayern may be slow to get out of the blocks on Saturday, it is difficult to imagine them not breaking through the Stuttgart rearguard.

On average, these two teams score more goals after halftime than before.

Stuttgart will likely need to score more than once to win this match, so goals from both sides between minutes 46 and 90 are the way to go.

Serhou Guirassy will score at any time – 23/25 (BetMGM)

Harry Kane will finish as the Bundesliga’s top scorer in his first campaign in German football. Heading into the weekend, the England captain has scored 35 goals in 31 top-flight matches.

However, digging a little deeper, Serhou Guirassy has been almost as prolific as Bayern Munich’s main man. The Stuttgart striker has found the net 25 times in 25 matches for Hoeness’ men.

Had he not missed part of the season due to injury and the Africa Cup of Nations, Guirassy could be hot on Kane’s heels right now.

We can’t be certain that Kane will start on Saturday, although the man himself will be hoping to be included in the XI as he chases down Robert Lewandowski’s Bundesliga single-season goals record of 41.

Guirassy has scored eight goals in his last 10 matches. He only drew three of those matches.

Against the mighty Bayern Munich, the Guinea international will try to show that he is the real deal.
