Meghan Markle approached the “brutalizing” intimidation that she lived in her first of the podcast.
The first guest of the host of “Confessions of A Female Founder”, Whitney Wolfe Herd, raised the subject while discussing the counterpoup that she was confronted after launching Bumble.
“When I see the way you have been treated in the media, which is an amplitude that I will never understand, my heart breaks for you,” said the CEO of the meeting application, 35, in Markle on Tuesday. “It’s not fair.”
Markle, 43, replied: “Perhaps because you understand it in any degree, you know how to introduce yourself for me.”
Her said that she “can imagine” what Markle has gone through “but cannot”, calling him “a magnitude that no one can understand”.
She recalled her “jaw hit (ting) the ground” at an airport in Ireland when she saw Markle on “the cover of each magazine and newspaper” there.
At the time, Herd thought, “What?” I am in Ireland, she is back home in California with her children who drop out of school and she is on each first page of each of these things. What are they talking about? “
When she said there was “no content” and “nothing to say”, Markle agreed: “I know”.
However, the former actress challenged Her on the idea that her intimidation is a “different beast” because “it does not feel different, whether on this scale or not”.
She said to the listeners: “Whatever scale in which you are, there will be a point where you are going to take a hit. And there will be a point where you have to decide if you are going to start again or conquer or get up above.”
Herd praised his boyfriend saying: “There is so much to say for your ability to exist even in the presence of this. It takes a very strong cookie.”
Markle, in particular, became a familiar name in 2016 when she started to go out with Prince Harry, with the couple forging the knot two years later.
Between the host son Archie, 5, and his daughter Lilibet, 3 years old, in 2018 and 2021, the couple left their royal roles controversial.
They now live in Montecito, California.
Elsewhere in the episode, Markle discussed his “frightening” and “rare” battle against postpartum preeclampsia, as well as his balance between professional and private life as a mother of two children.
“My office is there (at home),” said Markle. “I wouldn’t have it otherwise.”
In addition to her podcast, the Duchess of Sussex recently launched her like never before the brand of lifestyle and the program “With Love, Meghan” Netflix.
The series was renewed for a second season.
