HBO Max floats its first official trailer for Welcome to Derry.
The next series is a prequel to success HE Films that adapted the masterpiece of the horror of Stephen King on a small town in Maine which is cursed by the presence of a clown of formal killers who returns to assassinate a multitude of children every 27 years.
The trailer (below) presents a new casting of young characters living in Derry in the 1960s.
The show was developed by HE The filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti with Jason Fuchs which serves as a co-showrunner with Brad Caleb Kane. Andy Muschietti made four of the nine episodes of the season.
Bill Skarsgård returned to play Pennywise The Dancing Clown, a villain that King fans agreed that the actor embodied perfection, after initially refused the chance to continue the character. In an interview earlier this year, Skarsgård assured that the television version is “hardcore”.
“I felt like I’m done,” said Skarsgård. “Also, because I was shooting (Nosferatu), it was just like: “Okay, it is the nail in the coffin on my monster roles. But it’s Barbara and Andy, and I love them … and I enjoyed it more than I thought. We were able to explore different sides of the old Pennywise. There are nice things in there that we have not seen. “”
The rest of the distribution includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James NEMB, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe and Rudy Mancuso.
