Before Crown Jewel faded to black, new Crown Jewels women’s champion Stephanie Vaquer joined Seth Rollins in the ring, just moments after defeating Cody Rhodes for the Crown Jewels men’s title.
As the two champions stood, a thought immediately came to mind: “Ooh, Becky Lynch isn’t going to like this.”
After defeating Tiffany Stratton – the reigning WWE Women’s Champion and one of the hottest rising stars of 2025 – Vaquer established herself as the top female talent in Rawmaybe in all of WWE.
But not far behind is Becky Lynch, the women’s intercontinental champion. A confrontation between the two seems inevitable. And after Vaquer stood by Lynch’s husband – purely platonic – after his big win over Cody Rhodes, you can imagine Lynch thinking: “Who the hell does she think she is?”
In professional wrestling, great stories don’t need much: power, jealousy and a spark. Here, Lynch can feign jealousy and accuse Vaquer of getting close to Rollins for a shot at the title.
There’s only one problem: someone has to lose. By booking this match now, WWE risks dulling the shine of both stars.
Lynch is a key figure in Seth Rollins’ faction, The Vision, and holding a title adds prestige to the group. Winning the Women’s World Championship would elevate both her and the faction. But if she fails, her credibility – and by extension, that of The Vision – takes a hit.
On the other hand, Vaquer is on the rise. A quick loss of the title could derail his momentum.
The good news is that upcoming events like Saturday night’s main event And Survivor Series give WWE a chance to spark the feud without compromising any of the stars.
According to online rumors, the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series could feature Charlotte Flair, Iyo Sky, AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley against Becky Lynch, Lash Legend, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and Asuka.
If WWE can find a spot for Vaquer on the babyface team, the two could cross paths as soon as Saturday night’s main event. There, the match wouldn’t need a clean finish, as its purpose would be to build tension ahead of WarGames.
Ultimately, it’s an easy setup for a marquee match born from a small, perhaps unintentional, moment at the end of Crown Jewel: another woman standing next to the man from “The Man”. Book it now gives Saturday night’s main event a dream match, with implications for WWE’s Thanksgiving week tradition.
