San Francisco – Steph Curry made only one basket during the defeat of Golden State 106-96 against Houston’s Rockets visiting Sunday evening, but it was a spectacular bucket for more than one reason.
The Fadeaway rider, taken and made 30 feet from the basket with a second on the left in the first half, was the kind of breathtaking shooting screen which helped Curry score 25,281 points in his illustrious career.
This basket also helped him exceed a pair of basketball icons on the marking list of all time.
Reggie Miller, undoubtedly the sniper with an original 3 points and whose magic of shot out of ball created the modern plan for the style of Curry, scored the 25,279 of his points in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers in a career which extends from 1987 to 2005.
“Congratulations, incredible,” said Miller in a pre -recorded statement that played after the basket. “Keep moving, my friend.
Curry also exceeded Rick Barry, who marked 25,279 in a career that saw him play both in the American Basketball Association in a passage which included a year with the Oakland Oaks and the NBA.
Barry, who sat in the crowd of the Chase Center on Sunday evening, led the franchise to his first NBA title in 1975. Barry’s career lasted from 1965 to 1980.
The next combined and NBA ranking is Alex English, the top scorer of the 1980s who totaled 25,613 points.
