Stellantis and Samsung SDI plan new electric vehicle battery plant in Indiana

Car manufacturer Stellantide NV and Samsung SDI ltd. announced on Tuesday that it would build a new battery plant in Indiana to support electric vehicle production plans by automakers Jeep and Ram.

The $2.5 billion plant is expected to start later this year and open in the first quarter of 2025, they said.
