Steam page reveals 25 games that will be featured at Summer Game Fest, like a Persona-style JRPG and the retro indie collection I’ve been waiting 7 years for

If you’re dying to know which games will be part of the Summer Game Fest schedule for 2024, you can now see at least 25 games that will be there thanks to the event’s official Steam page.

Obviously, this Steam page didn’t reveal any big unannounced surprises for the event, but it did confirm a few notable titles that will be part of the Geoff Keighley spectacular – and the list is always “updated” with more additions. These games include the Persona veteran-led JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, Budokai Tenkaichi revival Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, and Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2.

Capcom apparently wasn’t done with MonHun news either after dropping the bombshell that Monster Hunter Wilds would offer players multiple weapon slots this time around, as he’s also on the list. Other familiar titles on the main list are, in fact, very familiar – it looks like we can expect updates on games such as Palworld, Party Animals and The Finals. There is no guarantee that we will see major updates on any of these games this week, but they are related to the series to some extent.

  • Dragon Ball: Sparks! Zero
  • Party people
  • Mecha Break
  • Never will
  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
  • Metaphor: ReFantazio
  • World Pal
  • The first descendant
  • Wild Monster Hunters
  • Battle Crush
  • Once human
  • The finals

The Day of the Devs lineup is, for my money, usually the highlight of Summer Game Fest week, and this year’s collection is as vibrant and creative as ever. Highlights include the zoo horror game Zoochosis, the story-driven RPG puzzle game Arranger, and Screenbound, the breathtaking “5D” puzzle platformer in which you use an off-brand Game Boy to manipulate your world.

The game I’m most excited to see here, however, is UFO 50. Announced in 2017 by Spelunky developer Derek ‘Mossmouth’ Yu, the project is a collection of retro NES-style games built by an array of independent developers . Games range from full-blown 8-bit JRPGs to experimental golf and pinball board games. I’ve been fascinated by the project since it was first announced all those years ago, and fingers crossed we’ll see a lot more of it soon.

  • Hello again
  • Koira
  • Psychroma
  • Phoenix Springs
  • UFO 50
  • Arranger: an adventure full of mysteries
  • Tom the postmistress
  • Waiting
  • Karma
  • After Love EP
  • Zoochosis
  • Building relationships
  • Connected to the screen

It is at least one name among the 15 Games We Really Want to See at Summer Game Fest.
