Prabowo Subianto will become president of Indonesia in the fall. Critics fear the former general of a previous authoritarian government could roll back democracy. This poses a challenge to the United States, which once trained and supported Prabowo and then banned him from entering the United States for twenty years.

And a televised song contest in Venezuela in which every song is about the authoritarian president.
