Stars like Ariana Grande support Rachel Zegler in the middle of the drama “Snow White”

The actors and musicians, including Ariana Grande and Melissa Barrera, gather behind Rachel Zegler after the young actor faced his involvement in the “Snow White” remake.

Some of Disney’s live reimagins have reported more than a billion dollars to the box office, but the latest remake, “Snow White”, is struggling to break, totaling $ 143 million worldwide in its first two weeks.

Forbes estimated that the film should hang on $ 427.8 million for Disney to cover production costs alone.

Some criticisms blamed Zegler for his underperformance, quoting his political comments during the press tour of the film and for having criticized the original story of “Snow White” while promoting the remake to D23 Disney Expo in 2022.

Now fans, journalists and certain celebrities defend Zegler in the middle of criticism.

Zegler said Grande, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu had stretched her hand in private.

Earlier in March, Zegler said at the pace that Jameela Jamil and her “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” Costares Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu have supported her private in the middle of the public counterposter in recent years.

“Jameela Jamil is like a big sister for me,” she said about the actor of “The Good Place”. “I love that she does not regret being frank, of being with will and in a strong mind.”

On March 25, Variety published an article sharing possible reasons “Snow White” had not performed well, but a large part of the article seemed to focus on Zegler’s actions throughout the film’s press tour.

A few days later, on March 28, Vanity Fair reported that Barrera had made an article on a position of a fan of Zegler’s on his Instagram history in the middle of a growing reaction against the Variety article.

“A successful piece newly published in the magazine Variety tries to paint Rachel Zegler as difficult and politically radical,” wrote the fan. “This is not the case. It makes it cool like hell and full of integrity.”

The variety did not respond to a request for comments.

Barrera and Zegler did not work together, but they were both expressed on social networks in support of Gaza in the middle of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Ethel Cain and Pedro Pascal seem to publicly support Zegler

On March 30, the fans shared on X that Ethel Cain, an independent artist, defended Zegler in an article on Instagram Story.

“@Rachelzegler does not let them shoot you, legend,” she wrote in the post, which Business Insider has seen.

The same day, a screenshot has gone around Pedro Pascal, “The Mandalorian” and the actor Marvel, calling Zegler as “icon” on his Instagram history.

Business Insider did not see the position of Pascal before the 24 -hour period, to confirm its validity, and a Pascal representative did not immediately respond to a comment request.

Russell Brand and Jonah Platt criticized Zegler on social networks

Not all celebrities come together behind Zegler.

On March 25, Variety, citing an anonymous source, reported that Marc Platt, producer of “Snow White”, flew to New York to speak to Zegler in August 2024 after having published “and always, La Palestine Libre” in a wire on X which promoted remake.

A day later, the Hollywood Reporter said that Jonah Platt, Marc Platt’s son, confirmed that it was true in an Instagram comment now deleted under one of his messages.

Responding to a user questioning his father’s actions, Jonah Platt criticized Zegler, saying that she “dragged her personal policy in the middle of promoting the film” and said that “injured the film’s box office”.

“Narcissism is not something to be animated or encouraged,” he added.

A Platt representative did not immediately respond to a request for comments.

Meanwhile, Russell Brand, a former controversial actor and commentator on the right, called Zegler “Herghty” in a Post X while going up a clip of Zegler’s video interview with Extratv in 2022, in which she criticized the original film “Snow White”.

Brand said that Zegler’s attitude was the product to be a movie star and people “blow you”.
