Welcome to photo spotlight. For our latest episode in the series, Andy Hooper took advantage of the ladies’ day at the Hippodrome of Aintree.
On Friday, one of the biggest events on the British racing calendar was booming while the big national revelers broke out of champagne bottles and danced throughout the day with the radiant sun.
The ladies put their best outfit and also pushed the boat with their extravagant fascinators, while thousands of people headed for the racetrack to soak up everything that the day of women of 2025 had to offer.
The day opened by fans dancing in the streets outside and this continued once they crossed the doors as the bets were placed and the drinks were ordered en masse.
The frantic joy was the main order of the day when the jockeys negotiated difficult assignments, no less than the “chair” jump during the disability of Topham.
Our man Andy Hooper was in a position in Aintree to capture all the emotion of this historic opportunity in the world of race.
The ladies’ day is always an opportunity that has repercussions on the Hippodrome Aintree and the payment in 2025 did not disappoint while thousands of revelers have absorbed the sun while drinking bottles of champagne directly
There were hundreds of extravagant outfits for the day with this group of ladies showing their elaborate fascinators

A risky strategy, perhaps, to balance a pint of beer on a small stool – and the other pint is left precariously on the ground!
A very classic black and white look here, in the shape of gloves and an oversized lipstick, with many women showing that there is no spending spared when it comes to your best for the ladies day
One thing that is easy to make events such as women on a large scale, is to lose people and this woman took the River Island pink carpet to try to call to locate her friends
Here is the view of the road to Melling with the runners and the runners faced with a series of jumps that firmly put their references to the test
The fate of Ginny (closest to the camera, Jockey in green) plays the catch -up because the tension is at its maximum during the meetings on Friday
If you want to have a sense of scale, well, here is a view of the floor of the highest jump – “the chair” – before horses jump in the handicap of Topham on Friday
