The midfielder is wanted by some of Europe’s biggest clubs

Manchester United and Liverpool have both been linked with Tielemans, while Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to be enthusiastic.

After joining Monaco for £ 35million in 2019, the maestro played a key role in two consecutive fifth places and scored the winner of Leicester’s historic victory in the FA Cup final against Chelsea earlier this year.

It’s no wonder the Foxes want to keep him, but Tielemans admits it’s not a certainty as talks about a new contract continue to drag on.

“There isn’t really an update. I am open to everything. The transfer market just closed, but I want to keep as many options as possible, ”he told Sky Sports.

“As long as I’m here, I’ll give my all for the club. I have done it before, but I will do it even more. The contract situation is just something that happens in football, it is a normal situation.

“There are discussions going on – I’m not saying I’m going to sign, I’m not saying I’m not going to sign. We will see.”

Responding to speculation surrounding Tielemans this summer, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has made no secret of his desire to keep the star man.

He said: “I hope we can have it longer. Jon (Rudkin, Director of Football) meets his representatives.

“He’s a top professional, a great guy and someone I love to work with. He is very focused on his football and doesn’t get distracted at all. Like I said before, I will give him everything to help him continuously improve and he will continue to give us everything too.

“For me and Youri, it continues – our relationship. Hope we can solve something in the future.
