Tyson Fury hinted that maybe he could retire from boxing saying, “I don’t know if I need to fight more.

The “Gypsy King” retained his WBC world heavyweight title by knocking out Deontay Wilder in a phenomenal fight last weekend.

Fury’s win over Wilder could be his last fight

However, in an interview with The Telegraph, Fury questioned any future fighting and added that he “didn’t know what the future held”.

Dillian Whyte is Fury’s mandatory challenger, with British promoter Eddie Hearn keen for him to finally secure his first world title.

This fight may never happen, with Fury potentially ready to end his undefeated boxing career.

Fury said, “I don’t know what’s going to happen.

Fury could end his career undefeated

“I have one fight left on my contract with Top Rank and ESPN and we’ll see what it is.

“But I’m not thinking about boxing right now. I don’t know how many fights I have left.

“I don’t know if I need to fight more. I don’t know what the future holds.

Commenting on whether his retirement would be due to a lack of motivation, he added, “It’s not money or a million title defenses.

Dillian Whyte could be denied the chance to fight Fury

“I’m motivated to get up in the morning, work out a bit and enjoy my day.

“I have no goals in boxing, I have done everything and won everything, the only one to do it in my time.

“I will always have been the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, Ring magazine champion, it won’t evaporate in history, but once it’s done it’s done and you can’t get it back .

“Once you’re done, it doesn’t matter how many belts you have, who you fight, what your record is. You’re just another naked bum in the shower and I’ve always had that opinion.

Fury’s potential retirement means we may never see him fight Anthony Joshua

“You have to enjoy it while he’s here because when he’s gone he’s gone. Even the victories and the glory die out and sooner or later you become just another person and a has-been.
