Sports news

Damien Williams, Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson are all in question for Week 6, and their statuses will definitely affect the fantastic rankings and kickstart them, sit decisions. Williams is on the wrong side of things after being placed on the reserve / COVID list, while Hill’s availability could go both ways. Jefferson is at least going in the right direction. Does Damien Williams play week 6?

Williams was placed on the reserve / COVID-19 list, meaning Khalil Herbert would take on the role of workaholic against Green Bay if Williams didn’t return two negative tests 24 hours apart. We don’t know if Williams himself tested positive or was in close contact, nor do we know if he’s vaccinated, so it’s hard to say for sure what his situation is.

The Packers were a mixed bag against the fantastic RBs, but they gave Bengals backup RB Samaje Perine a solid day. Perine had 15 touches for 83 yards and one touchdown, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Herbert have a similar, if not better, line. Herbert received 18 races last week, and he is expected to line up for work without Wiliams pictured. That said, over 20 keys should almost be the wait.

Herbert now switches to flexible consideration, at worst, but has RB2 on the rise given the confrontation. It’s hard to say after only a week of filming him.

Tyreek Hill injury update

Hill (quadrielle) was sidelined during Chiefs practice on Wednesday and Thursday. As one of the best fantasy football players, that’s obviously big news. We don’t know much about his situation or if it will threaten his availability on match day, but we will be monitoring his situation.

If he’s out. Mecole Hardman, Josh Gordon and Byron Pringle are the three receivers reportedly vying for his vacant targets. Hardman would be the better option, as he drew nine of 12 targets for 76 yards against Buffalo. If Hill plays, he’s our No. 3 WR in the Standard Leagues and PPR against an excruciating defense from Washington.

Justin Jefferson Injury Update

Jefferson (ankle) missed practice on Wednesday and will be limited for practice on Thursday. However, there is no indication that he has a real chance of missing Sunday’s game against Carolina. If done, Jefferson said he expect to play against the Panthers.

If he suffers a setback, KJ Osborn should take a lot of targets. But again, that’s far from the expectation. That said, Jefferson ranks like our WR10 as standard and WR9 as PPR.
