Who is Mark Carney, the new PM in Canada?Posted at 2:25 PM British Summer Time

Mark Carney was sworn in as Prime Minister of Canada in March after the resignation of his predecessor, former leader of the Liberal Party Justin Trudeau.
He then won an election to a snap last month, allowing him to continue in the role. The 60-year-old man was born in the remote north city of Fort Smith, in the Northwest Territories.
The son of a high school director, he went to Harvard University for a scholarship where he played the most Canadian sports: ice hockey.
He continued to have an in -depth career in the banking sector – he was the first non -British to become governor of the Bank of England during his more than 300 years of history.
Previously, he managed his country of origin throughout the 2008 financial accident as governor of the Banque du Canada.
Unlike most PM-HOPEFULS, Carney had never held his political functions before his election as leader of the Liberal Party. The Liberals ran it for a decade, but until recently, he had rejected the idea.
“Why don’t I become a circus clown?” He once said a journalist in 2012.
The king gives the speech today on the invitation of Carney.
