The Ministers of the Economy of Italy and Spain call on European governments to avoid confrontation with the United States compared to the prices of President Donald Trump, despite the largest EU countries calling for a more difficult position.
“We are still calling a negotiated solution,” said Carlos Cuerpo, Spanish Minister for Economy, Trade and Business on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Minister of the Italian Economy and Finance of Giancarti Giorgetti, urged his colleagues not to use “the panic button”.
“We have to try to keep a cool head, assess the impact and avoid a policy of reprisals that would simply be damaging for everyone, and especially for us,” Giorgetti said at a conference in Cernobbio, next to Lake Como.
