We’re at the closest point to the driveway that leads to the entrance to the presidential complex – it’s a lot closer than we were able to get last time.
But our view is blocked by dozens of police officers who restrict movement near the complex.
There are barricades in almost every direction and we are close to protesters, many of whom are wrapped in thermal blankets.
There are chants of “Yoon arrest,” mixed with songs Fire by Korean group BTS and APT by New Zealand and South Korean singer Rosé. The mood seems somewhat joyous as Yoon’s critics believe his arrest is imminent.
Meanwhile, Yoon’s supporters held banners reading “stop the steal” alongside Korean and American flags.
This time, the police have reportedly increased their numbers by deploying around 1,000 officers.
