The NBA examines the superstar of Memphis Grizzlies, Ja Morant, using her hands and arms to imitate a weapon to the Golden State Warriors bench at the end of the Tuesday evening match between the rivals of the West Conference, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.
The league investigation will also examine the gesture of the Buddy Hield warriors before the more -time requests, sources said. League officials will lead to an investigation and speak to the parties involved on Wednesday, the sources said.
The incident occurred in a dead time with 20.1 seconds to play in the Warriors 134-125 victory over the grizzly ones.
While MORANT headed for the bench of the grizzly ones on the other side of the courtyard, he formed imaginary rifles with his fingers of both hands, pointing them towards the Warriors bench with his completely extensive left arm. The referees have issued double technical faults in Morant and Hield.
MORANT, 25, an All-Star twice, was suspended twice by the NBA due to the brandage of a firearm on social networks.
The first incident occurred in March 2023 during a live Instagram flow while Morant was celebrating in a Denver Suburban nightclub after a defeat against the Nuggets. The NBA published an indefinite suspension which ended up expanding eight games.
MORANT was suspended for the first 25 games of the 2023-24 season for driving prejudicial to the League after having brandished a firearm during a live Instagram flow on his friend’s account in May 2023.
The Grizzlies (44-32) lost seven of the eight games to move to sixth place in the Western Conference classification. Friday, coach Taylor Jenkins dismissed coach Taylor Jenkins.
