Florham Park, NJ – The purge of the off -season of New York Jets said that the quarter -Arrière Aaron Rodgers and its most prolific receiver, Davante Adams, but a member of the Old Green Bay Packers gang is held.
At the end of the months of speculation, the Large Lazard Large recipient agreed with a significant salary reduction to stay with the jets, confirmed sources in ESPN on Thursday.
Lazard was considered a goner because of her base salary of $ 11 million (Nonguantd) for 2025, but the two parties restructured the contract after several weeks of discussions. His new base salary is $ 2.25 million, and he can earn an additional $ 250,000 with list bonuses per game.
In exchange, the jets guaranteed $ 1.75 million in his basic salary and canceled the last year of his contract (2026), allowing Lazard to become a free agent after the season. This decision reduces Lazard ceiling costs in 2025 from $ 13.2 million to $ 4.6 million. There are additional fees of $ 4.4 million “dead” in 2026.

At the beginning of March, Lazard was authorized to ask for a job but found no lessee. Managing Director Darren Mougey declared on March 30 at the annual meeting of the NFL League that the two parties were in talks during a revised agreement.

Lazard and Garrett Wilson are the best holders of the Jets reception corps, which also includes the veterans newly signed Josh Reynolds and Tyler Johnson. Lazard is Green Bay’s only link in Rodgers in New York.
For two years, the jets went to Rodgers, a process that started in March 2023 with the signing of Lazard to the largest free agent contract for a wide receiver that year – four years, $ 44 million. They also signed the Large Randall Cobb recipient (now retired) and acquired Adams in October. The objective was to surround Rodgers with familiar faces, in particular the offensive coordinator now exceeded Nathaniel Hackett.

Lazard endured two rocky seasons in New York, compiling 60 catches, 841 yards and seven affected. He collapsed in 2023 and was put on the bench at some point, later admitting that his goal was affected by the Achilles injury of the Rodgers season during week 1.
With a healthy rodgers in 2024, Lazard was revitalized and took a productive start, but he missed five games due to a sternum injury and lost his starting job against Adams. He finished the season with 37 receptions for 530 yards and six affected. He also had a summit of seven drops.
In seven seasons, the first five with the packers, Lazard has 229 receptions, 3,077 yards and 27 affected.
