In the wake of ESPN reports on Monday morning that “some” rival teams anticipated the Sixers using the overall choice n ° 3 during the NBA draft in 2025 of next month as part of a package to acquire talents of established veterans, a source of the league declared in Phillyvoice that the team had “no consideration” to such possibilities.
The History of ESPN distinguished the Superstar of Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant, and the jazz striker of Utah, Lauri Markkanen, as potential targets for the Sixers. The two measures would probably require Paul George’s inclusion in an agreement.
The team seems singularly focused on adding a young high -end talent with a nucleus with Tyrese Maxey, 24, Jared McCain, 21, and the coming free agent, Quentin Grimes to come, rather than using the choice as a tool to improve its veterans base.
With around five weeks before the start of the project, there is little sense, the prospects of which the Sixers are highest to take. If the Duke Cooper Flagg attacker and the Rutgers goalkeeper Dylan Harper are the first two choices as currently planned, the names that should currently be considered considerable include the Rutgers striker Ace Bailey, the Baylor VJ Edgecombe goalkeeper, the Texas Tre Johnson and the goalkeeper / Wing Kon Knuppel.
Sixers could also explore the descent of the board of directors to accumulate more assets while they are looking to bounce back after a disastrous campaign 24-58. But for the moment, a kind of thrust displacement in the chip-in-in-in-no. 3 does not seem to be in the cards.
