Elden Ring is undoubtedly a difficult game, but an eight-year-old Elden Lord is putting Soulslike veterans to shame with his incredible action RPG skills, having successfully defeated Starscourge Radahn in a single attempt without any assistance.
In a very wholesome video posted by his father, Twitter user @jnoe33, you can see young Tarnished in action, dodging Radahn’s attacks by rolling and jumping with ease, and attacking the boss at every opportunity. Seeing how skillfully he moves his character, you’d think he’d been playing for years, but not only has he only been playing for “some months,” but “It was his first attempt” fight Radahn, which makes him even more impressive.
“My son recently got into video games and of course he wants to play Elden Ring,” wrote @jnoe33. “He’s autistic, eight years old, and has a very low level and refuses to let me help him.”
My son recently got into video games and of course he wants to play Elden Ring. He’s autistic, 8 years old, very low skill and refuses to let me help him. He’s the one fighting Radahn. @Schrodingersba4 @NightSkyPrince_ @philipharts @_subtxt_ @BltzZ7 pic.twitter.com/ICVzKCxm95July 1, 2024
Expanding a bit more in the tweet’s replies, @jnoe33 said The young hero has probably played 10-12 hours of Elden Ring so far, but he’s been watching me a lot, so it seems like he’s been taking notes. Radahn is not an easy fighter at all, but his reactions to all incoming moves were spot on, even the massive meteor attack.
You may have also noticed the young player’s build, which consists of the basic longsword and armor set you get when you start with the Vagabond class. He’s also tried other things, his father addsbut “he loves that sword and light rolls.” Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and that clearly works for him.
The real Elden Lord clearly has a soft spot for Soulslikes now, as his father says he “wants to play more games like Elden Ring,” so we could well be witnessing the rise of a champion. With his skills, it really does seem like he could be the next Let me do it solo – Malenia won’t know what’s happening to her.
