Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had just had an emotional conversation with his father and was pouring himself a drink when there was a sudden flash of light and then an explosion. Michael was immediately thrown into the air and landed in a pile of flames.

Jason (Steve Burton) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) hear the explosion from the hallway and rush into the apartment to find Michael literally on fire and begging for help. Sonny wants to do everything to save his son, but Jason takes Sonny out of the apartment. The flames are just too strong.

Does Jason return alone to save the boy he raised during his first year of life? Jason is the man who gave Michael his name and loved him like a son, just like Sonny and his brother AJ. Michael was at his lowest when the outburst happened, thinking about his failed marriage and an upcoming custody battle. Is this how it will end for Michael Corinthos? How will Carly (Laura Wright) react when she learns what happened to her precious baby boy?

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) try to stay optimistic about their future as parents, but it becomes more and more frustrating as each month passes, and Brook Lynn is not pregnant. They decided to relax and not try so hard, but it wasn’t easy.

Chase confides his feelings to his old friend Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), who he doesn’t know is pregnant with Michael’s child. The conversation makes Sasha uncomfortable because she became pregnant by accident while Brook Lynn and Chase meticulously planned for a pregnancy that didn’t happen.

Meanwhile, Brook Lynn has her own revelation. Does she also confide in someone and gain consciousness, or does she discover something shocking? It’s clear that Brook Lynn has been pregnant before, as the anvils regarding a previous pregnancy have dropped over the past month. It’s just unclear if Brook Lynn knows what really happened to the child. Maybe he lives with the Quartermaines and plays a mean violin…
