So far, Asia-Pacific trade is moving slowly
So far, the foreign exchange market is moving at a snail’s pace in Friday trading. This is set to change as Tokyo now prepares for the final day of the week.
Movements have been limited to 2-3 pips so far, with the US dollar generally strengthening in New York trading. The S&P 500 fell for the fourth straight day, marking the worst losing streak since October, and the after-hours market wasn’t helped by a 5% drop in Netflix shares after earnings.
Nikkei futures are down 1.2% in early trading.
I will be closely watching Asian gold deals today after strong gains yesterday.
