Rain and wet snow will affect New Hampshire in the middle of this week leading up to Thanksgiving. The storm system that appears to be moving in will impact travel plans Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. The system is expected to arrive later Tuesday evening. Travel could be sloppy late Tuesday night into the first part of Wednesday elsewhere. The system will move through at some point Wednesday afternoon or evening, preparing for a dry, bright and cool Thanksgiving holiday. >> Active National Weather Service Alerts and Advisories The greatest risk for slippery roads will be in the South -western, central and northern New Hampshire, where winter precipitation will last longer through Wednesday morning. Areas in the southeast and along the coast will see a quicker transition to rain and little to no accumulation of snow before being washed away. A few inches of snow will be possible from Concord to the north and west before changing to rain, with 4 to 8 inches of snow possible across the mountains.
